1973 2002 Tii with Metric Mechanic S14

The 1973 2002 was the last year of the round tail lights and arguably one of the best years. This desirable Tii model was one of the early fuel injection cars from BMW though it does not sport an original Tii motor. It’s hard to say which is more desirable, a Metric Mechanic built S14 engine from an E30 M3 or an all original Tii motor. This tastefully modified engine-swapped car boasts 275 horsepower with a 2.5 liter stroked S14.

The paint color could not be any better; this car has been restored with it’s factory original Inka Orange color along with turbo fender flairs and turbo rear spoiler.

The BBS RS style wheels look ok, but I would have preferred to see something like an E30 15” euro weave in original silver for a more OEM plus appearance. The Chinese aftermarket replica wheels are known to bend easy, and takes away from the overall build in my opinion.

The iconic round tail lights look great along with early bumper and turbo spoiler. You can also see an E30 map light mirror present in the car, a nice touch using E30 parts to upgrade the car.

Inside we see more E30 upgrades from the front seats, and what appears to be an E21 sport steering wheel. The floor mats are a bit out of place and look to be sourced from a late model E36 or E46 M3, likely because any E30 or E10 floor mat has long since gone NLA from the dealership.

The iconic front end of this E10 is beautifully done and is one beautifully built street car. It’s currently listed on eBay here and has not yet reached it’s reserve. What do you think, would you bid on this classic Bimmer?
